Gina K Designs Blog Hop Day Two

Welcome to day two of the Blog Hop! Today we are celebrating the awesome new Holiday Wreath Builder and the elegant Skeleton Leaves Incentive Stamp Set.

This card gives me serious autumn and winter vibes. I love the color honey mustard so much, I want to use it as one of my wedding colors. All these colors are so warm.

For this card, I stamped all the snowflakes in ink colors from dark to light, making it look somewhat ombré. That was the original intention, but then I accidentally switched the caps on the ink cubes and stamped the smallest snowflake on the outside in powder blue instead of sea glass. I told you guys my brain takes frequent naps. There is SO much sparkle on this card. I used a Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen on each of the snowflakes. I was so sad when I took the picture and tried every angle with my camera in hopes it could somehow capture them. But alas, you will just have to imagine it.

These next cards are featuring the Skeleton Leaves Stamp Set. For my first card, I did a design quite similar to the card on my blog yesterday. I heat embossed the leaves with white embossing powder, and used Distress Oxide Ink to create a colorful background. I added a greeting and it was done!

For my last card, I used the ink blending technique to create a multicolored leaf design. I think it makes them look so realistic and lifelike. I did the same ink blending technique for the greeting.

By the way, I got quite a few comments asking about what kind of flowers are in my “Whimsical Wildflowers” stamp set. Well, there are Dogwoods, Peonies, Sunflowers, and a bud for any kind of flower. The bud could be for any floral, but I made it to reflect a Peony bud. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions and I’d love to answer them for you.

I absolutely love flowers. I hope to one day open my own flower shop. Daisies are my favorite flower. What’s your favorite? My boyfriend once bought me a whole DAISY TREE and I was so unbelievably happy. Can you imagine a whole tree full with daisies?? Well you don’t have to imagine because I’m including a picture of it. Look at how beautiful this is!! #mostperfectboyfriendever

He also bought me these sunflowers after I first showed him my flower drawings, way before they were made into a stamp set. ❤️

Fun fact: I wrote this post at 2 o’clock this morning. I just got done studying and watching a couple long lectures so I decided it was time to go to bed. I jumped in my bed all cozy and went to set my alarm when I realized the Blog Hop was at 8 this morning! I hadn’t even written the post yet. I got back up and wrote it as fast as I could. So I apologize for any spelling or grammatical errors. I blame them entirely on my lack of sleep, not on my normal lack of grammatical expertise. My college is rewarding work though because I am doing the work I love and am able to interact with people I love. (For those of you who don’t know, I’m going to college for Sign Language Interpreting.)

Go take a look at the amazing projects done by other members of the Gina K. team! Don’t forget to comment on each blog so you are in the running to win a $50 gift certificate for the Gina’s online store.

Thank you for stopping by again! So happy to have the opportunity to create for y’all. I’m going to be drawing lots more things for you, so stay tuned for more!

Love y’all!

  1. Daisies are my favorite flower, too., they were my wedding flowers, way back when….Lol…but as for your cards…love them most especially the multi-colored leaves. Thanks for naming your flowers for the challenge question…I updated my response yesterday…hope that’s fair 🙂

  2. These cards are beautiful. Wow a flower shop. That is a nice dream. My son took sign language in high school as his second language and was very disappointed when he went to college and his college did not offer sign language as a option. He really wanted to continue. He loved signing.

  3. I think the powder blue snowflake is a happy accident! It gives the card just a little more specialness. All of your cards are so beautiful. Love the leaves in white and in the Fall colors.
I love all flowers!! I used to say a lavender rose was my fave, but truly, I love them all! 🙂

  4. Love the wreaths that you made.
A snowflake wreath is a fun idea.
The layering on the other cards is
great. The colors in the backgorund
    really make the sentiment pop.
    thanks for sharing

  5. OH wow Hannah! These all are just gorgeous! As your set is too! I always tells folks that one of the fun things of our craft, you can colors them flowers any old way you want! 😀 You do excellent work with that wreath builder!

  6. Beautiful cards Hannah, well so much for my many years of working at a greenhouse, I had first guessed dogwood but didn’t think that went with Wild Flowers so I went with wild rose oh well I got peony right

  7. Love your flowers! I like real flowers when I can have them and your boyfriend did perfectly. These cards look great! I really like the ombre like card with the leaves.

  8. What beautiful cards. I love how you did the leaves. Thanks for sharing the pictures of the daisy tree – I wasn’t sure what you meant, but it’s gorgeous. Sunflowers are my one of my favorites so I enjoyed those pictures. Hope you get some rest this weekend.

  9. Amazing cards!! I was blown away by each and every one of them! The white embossed one with the Distress ink background is my favorite though.

What a sweet boyfriend you have – I love the daisy tree and never knew there was such a thing! I will have to see if I can find one around here (and more importantly, see if they can survive the climate here). Good luck with your classes and becoming a certified interpreter!

  10. I love your cards, especially the multi tones leaves. BTW – those sunflowers your boyfriend gave you are almost as pretty as your stamp!

  11. Am in love with both the wreath builder and the skeleton leaves set! I actually earned the leaf set when I placed an order yesterday. Yay me! LOL

  12. The honey mustard card reminds me of both winter and fall, just as you stated. The second wreath bldr. card is beautiful and the “accident” is not showing up. The leaves are my favorites and they do look very realistic. When Gina first showed the stamp set, that is what I thought, because fall leaves usually do have a lot of holes in them.

  13. While that powder blue snowflake wasn’t what you intended, I think it ties into the innermost ring of snowflakes quite nicely. I love the multicolor leaf card!

  14. Your cards are so lovely. Those are awesome stamp sets and you really used them beautifully. Also thanks for sharing your pretty flowers.

  15. Those skeleton leaves are so gorgeous, and what can I say about the wreath builder — so many possibilities with both these sets.

  16. Sounds like your boyfriend is a keeper! Gorgeous sunflowers and daisy tree. I’ve never heard of a daisy tree but may just need to hunt one down. Fantastic cards! Such fun and beautiful designs, love your mix of techniques.

  17. Love all of your cards. Didn’t think of using the colored card stock. Love what you are studying in school. You will be truly blessed.

  18. My goodness, Hannah, what a full life you lead!! Doesn’t leave too much time for sleep, does it? But your cards are lovely. I really like the one with the snowflakes. And thanks for letting us know about the Sparkle Pen — great to know even if the camera didn’t pick it up (but thanks for trying so hard). Sounds like that boyfriend is a definite “keeper”. Best of luck in your college career and in opening a flower shop (all in good time).
