Stamptember Blog Hop

Stamptember!!!!! Welcome again everyone to my blog. And welcome to Stamptember, the fabulous month long stamp party hosted by Simon Says Stamp.

Today I am featuring Joy of the Season by Gina K Designs.

Isn’t that set beautiful? And there are even matching dies to go with it! Another lovely set designed by our lovely Queen Gina K ❤️

For my first two cards I used the beautiful tree line stamp to create a watercolored night scene.

This one is more sunset-like.

You may think I went a little overboard with the “snow”, but I was just going for a realistic Wisconsin winter. All those who live in Wisconsin know EXACTLY what I’m talking about. I just love summer in Wisconsin. Last year it was on a Wednesday.

For this card, I basically just inked up a bunch of snowflakes and stamped them on a white piece of Heavy Base Weight White Cardstock. I stole a couple little snowflakes from my Holiday Wreath Builder set to give more variety. You can use the Wreath Builder stamps in more than just one way, and that’s yet another reason why I love the sets so much.

And for my last card, I inked up the same snowflakes in Amalgam Ink and created a snowy scene using two different colored watercolors. I splattered some white paint on it to create a look of falling snow. I then used the greeting “Kindness is like snow. It beautifies everything it touches.” If this statement is true, Wisconsin has gotta be the prettiest place around.

Go take a look at the amazing projects done by other members of the Gina K. team! Don’t forget to comment on each blog so you are in the running to win a $50 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!

  1. Very nice winter cards! Love your comment about summer being last Wednesday. Awesome looking forest. Thanks for the inspiration.

  2. As a Minnesotan I had to laugh at your comment about the snow and summer in Wisconsin. Our two states bicker over many things, but we can agree about our beautiful seasons! By the way, the kindness card was my favorite – just lovely.

  3. Gorgeous cards! Love your tree line cards with those awesome colors for the sky! Beautiful snowflake designs also… such a fabulous set!

  4. Your cards are totally amazing! They are such wonderful snowy scenes. Gorgeous backgrounds on the two of them. And, I love the colorful snowflakes on your second card too.

  5. Gorgeous cards. I especially love the snowy night background. I live in Texas and we don’t see much snow, but this is how I imagine it would look.

  6. So many gorgeous cards! I laughed when I read that summer last year was a Wednesday! I am in Canada and we have had a hot and humid summer, so I’m looking forward to cooler temperatures.

  7. I can understand your summer on Wednesday. Here in southeast TX we had winter on Saturday. I am in awe of the colors you have on your sky cards. The snowflakes are beautiful too.

  8. Hannah…as someone who lives in western NY state right on Lake Ontario I can totally relate to your comment and your snowy scenes! I had to chuckle when I read it…gorgeous backgrounds! Love, love, love!!

  9. Great Job and the more snow the better, we have not had much snow in the winter here in PA at least not my part of PA if it does snow its gone in a day or two sure isn’t like it was when I was a kid

  10. Your cards are so pretty Hannah! You are so right about Wisconsin winters….and Summers, except for this year with all the heat!

  11. Wow…love your cards! That background on the first one caught my eye, just LOVE the colors and how you have them on the page. Course then I saw that last card, and LOVE it! Course I do love snowflakes…and that sentiment, but it’s really hard to decide if I like that one the best or the first one! Great job on your cards!

  12. Love the snow falling cards but the Feel the Joy of the Season colorful snowflake card is my favorite. I’m in South Florida so my Winter is like your Summer maybe on a Friday this year LOL. Thanks for sharing and the inspiration!
