Gina K Blog Hop Day 2!

Welcome everyone! I’m back again this morning and ready to share some exciting new things.

And here they are! My two newest stamp sets I designed for Gina K Designs, To the Moon and Back and Wonderful World.

If you are insanely against fussy cutting (which I am because let’s be honest… ain’t nobody got time for that…), there are dies to go with this set! Not only does it save you time from hand cutting everything, but it saves your sanity and everyone else’s around you. 😁

These stamps sets were inspired by my boyfriend, Jesse. Quite a few months ago, back when I started thinking about the designs for these stamps, Jesse and I were long distance. He was living in South Carolina and I live in, of course, Wisconsin… pretty much on opposite ends of the country. But we made it work no matter how hard it was being apart. Finally, a door opened that allowed him to move here to Wisconsin and get hired for a great job. Now I can see him all the time! (Except that he’s snow plower and snow plowers are pretty much on the clock 24/7 in this part of the country.) One of the greetings in my To the Moon and Back set, “We may be miles apart but you’re always close to my heart”, is perfect for those who, like we were, are in a long distance relationship, but it could also be used for family members in other states or countries, best friends who live far away, or that neighbor across the street that moved out years ago but you’re still missing that taco dip they would bring to backyard barbecues. I don’t know about y’all, but tacos are ALWAYS close to my heart πŸ™ŒπŸ½

To freshen up my website, here is some eye candy of my darling man in case y’all wanna brighten up your day a bit 😏

*inserts ten million heart eye emojis*

Ok, back to the release… focus Hannah…

This first card, of course, features guess which technique………….

Just look at those colors… 🀀 Pure celestial heaven.

And of course, I had to make a shaker card with this set. I swear, shaker cards are like rattles for crafty adults.

For this next card, I made a crescent moon simply by using the circle die cut from my moon set. When the circle was all cut out, I offset the die and placed it more than halfway on the circle. I then ran it through my cutting machine and it turned into a crescent moon! Crafty hacks 😁 I sponged some Moonlit Fog ink on the side to give it some dimension and detail.

Here are some super fun moon ink combos:

Soft Stone + Stormy Sky

Innocent Pink + Dusty Rose

Kraft + Sandy Beach

Moonlit Fog + Slate

Sweet Corn + Honey Mustard

Red Velvet + Cherry Red

There are dozens more I came up with, but these were just some of my favorites.

I also made this really shiny, starry background by flicking slightly watered down Tombow Liquid Multi Glue on Black Onyx Cardstock. I waited a little bit for the glue to become “gummy” instead of wet, and then I laid a piece of silver foil on top and ripped it off! It left this sparkly, gorgeous shiny background that looks a lot like a starry night sky. It is also just really fun and oddly satisfying to rip off the piece of foil. I get cheap thrills, what can I say πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

Well folks, that’s it for today. Thank you for stopping by! I hope y’all have a fantastic weekend. Sending lots of love and hugs! ❀️🀟🏽
