Good morning everyone!
Today is another glorious Friday (more like FriYAY) and we in the stamping community are celebrating the brand new Wonderful Wishes Christmas release at Tonic Studios! Go check out the Tonic Studios Blog ❤️
I am so excited to be a part of this fantastic new release from Tonic Studios! I loved creating things with these amazing, and very high quality products.
One of my favorite parts about pre-Christmas season is getting to see all the new holiday stamps each company offers. And Tonic did not disappoint this year!
First of all, I will be sharing a project I made using this adorable new set called Warm Cocoa Wishes, featuring this precious little boy and girl.
I of course had to make their cheeks a pale pink blushy color because it just adds so much to their enduring charm ☺️
I colored their skin and hair using the Nuvo Watercolor Pencils Hair and Skin Tones that you can purchase from the Tonic Studios website. This Watercolor Pencil set has every color you would need to bring alive the characters on your projects.
I watercolored the galaxy background using Mission Gold Watercolors, and splashed some Dr. Ph Martin’s Bleedproof White on top once it was completely dry to make it look like snow. Then, once that was completely dry (all this waiting for things to dry was making me quite impatient I will admit 😂), I took some of the Nuvo Glacier Paste in the Golden Era color, watered it down, and splashed some of that on top to add some more sparkly shimmer. Because when will there ever be too much sparkly shimmer?! #never
For my next project, using the same set, I watercolored the cute little boy and girl, let’s call them Patty and Edward for now (literally the first two names that popped into my head 🙃😂🤷🏻♀️), with my Zig Watercolor Markers.
I used Bristol Smooth Cardstock because it is my absolute FAVORITE when using my Zig Markers, and the Nuvo Waterbrush.
I stamped some of the falling leaves around them and added two little lovebirds towards the top. It is such an adorable, fall themed card.
The weather here in Wisconsin has officially reached the definition of fall – pumpkins at the front of every store, raining pretty much every day, apple orchards buzzing with families panickly picking apples before it gets too cold (because it will be before we know it), leaves dying before they change color, and pumpkin spice EVERYTHING. Pretty sure I saw Pumpkin Spice SPAM the other day. Like WHO was sitting at the Spam factory and thought that that would be a good idea?! Because whoever thought that it was should be fired. Just sayin’.
For my next couple cards, I used another amazing new stamp set, Santa’s Little Village, by Tonic.
This set features a cute little snowman, elf, and Santa character, as well as numerous elegant houses.
I painted the houses with light and dark gray zig markers to give them the monochromatic look. Then I used my Mission Gold Watercolors to create a galaxy background affect to give the card a bright pop of color. I used my PH Martin’s Bleedproof White Ink and the Nuvo Glacier Paste to splash the snowy and sparkle affect 😍
I did the same technique on my last card, but this time using the cute little characters in the set.
I took my T1 and T3 Copic Alcohol Markers to make the snow banks. I also colored the cute little Santa, elf, and all the creatures with my Copic Makers.
I just LOVE how this scene turned out 😍
Just look at that sparkle and shine 🤩
Well, that is all the cards I have for today! I will be making many more projects using the amazing products from Tonic, so stay tuned on my social medias!
Also, GUESS WHAT?! I have a super SPECIAL surprise for all of you who stayed tuned till the end of this post!
