Gina K Blog Hop Day 2!

Welcome everyone! I’m back again this morning and ready to share some exciting new things.

And here they are! My two newest stamp sets I designed for Gina K Designs, To the Moon and Back and Wonderful World.

If you are insanely against fussy cutting (which I am because let’s be honest… ain’t nobody got time for that…), there are dies to go with this set! Not only does it save you time from hand cutting everything, but it saves your sanity and everyone else’s around you. 😁

These stamps sets were inspired by my boyfriend, Jesse. Quite a few months ago, back when I started thinking about the designs for these stamps, Jesse and I were long distance. He was living in South Carolina and I live in, of course, Wisconsin… pretty much on opposite ends of the country. But we made it work no matter how hard it was being apart. Finally, a door opened that allowed him to move here to Wisconsin and get hired for a great job. Now I can see him all the time! (Except that he’s snow plower and snow plowers are pretty much on the clock 24/7 in this part of the country.) One of the greetings in my To the Moon and Back set, “We may be miles apart but you’re always close to my heart”, is perfect for those who, like we were, are in a long distance relationship, but it could also be used for family members in other states or countries, best friends who live far away, or that neighbor across the street that moved out years ago but you’re still missing that taco dip they would bring to backyard barbecues. I don’t know about y’all, but tacos are ALWAYS close to my heart 🙌🏽

To freshen up my website, here is some eye candy of my darling man in case y’all wanna brighten up your day a bit 😏

*inserts ten million heart eye emojis*

Ok, back to the release… focus Hannah…

This first card, of course, features guess which technique………….

A WATERCOLOR GALAXY BACKGROUND, BABY!!!!

Just look at those colors… 🤤 Pure celestial heaven.

And of course, I had to make a shaker card with this set. I swear, shaker cards are like rattles for crafty adults.

For this next card, I made a crescent moon simply by using the circle die cut from my moon set. When the circle was all cut out, I offset the die and placed it more than halfway on the circle. I then ran it through my cutting machine and it turned into a crescent moon! Crafty hacks 😁 I sponged some Moonlit Fog ink on the side to give it some dimension and detail.

Here are some super fun moon ink combos:

Soft Stone + Stormy Sky

Innocent Pink + Dusty Rose

Kraft + Sandy Beach

Moonlit Fog + Slate

Sweet Corn + Honey Mustard

Red Velvet + Cherry Red

There are dozens more I came up with, but these were just some of my favorites.

I also made this really shiny, starry background by flicking slightly watered down Tombow Liquid Multi Glue on Black Onyx Cardstock. I waited a little bit for the glue to become “gummy” instead of wet, and then I laid a piece of silver foil on top and ripped it off! It left this sparkly, gorgeous shiny background that looks a lot like a starry night sky. It is also just really fun and oddly satisfying to rip off the piece of foil. I get cheap thrills, what can I say 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well folks, that’s it for today. Thank you for stopping by! I hope y’all have a fantastic weekend. Sending lots of love and hugs! ❤️🤟🏽

Hugs,

Han

Gina K. Designs February Blog Hop Day One and a Giveaway!

Hi y’all! I know it’s been a minute since I’ve posted (actually like a couple million minutes 😬), but I’m back and will be posting much more often! (Yes, I know I say that on a very frequent basis, but I’m sure I will this time… probably…) 😁

This January I had the pleasure of traveling to Phoenix, Arizona with my sister Emily for the 2019 Creativation show.

I’m tellin’ all y’all Arizona natives right now… you have two types of weather. Hot and a little less hot. Y’all know what winter means it Arizona?! NOTHING!! It’s still like 90 degrees out there. I woke up this morning to a winter storm snow and ice warning here in Wisco. The weatherman’s forecast was “Holy crap you can’t feel your face degrees outside today.”

But enough about that… let’s get into the fun stuff 😏

This past Gina K. Release was HUGE!!! And I’ve gotta say, guys, you need EVERYTHING. Today I’m going to be sharing a couple projects I made with two new stamp sets, Crafty Notes and Cake Toppers.

Tomorrow’s Blog Hop will be featuring my newest sets I designed for Gina, so make sure to come back tomorrow same time, same place! I can see my blog views, so I’ll know who doesn’t show up 😑

I made this card with the new Crafty Notes set. The perfect card to send to your special artsy someone to brighten up their day ❤️

Y’all know me… I couldn’t resist adding some sort of watercolor galaxy background to this blog post. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just love the pop of color against the monochromatic images.

Disclaimer- Don’t zoom in too closely at this card. I used paper towels to clean them because I misplaced my Tidy Towel (I have about 10 of them by the way and couldn’t find a one 🙄) and the little fuzzies from the toweling stuck to the stamps. Crafty Hack… DON’T DO THAT… BUY A TIDY TOWEL… IF YOU HAVE 10 ALREADY BUY ANOTHER 10… THIS POST ISN’T SPONSORED…….

For this next card, I used Emily’s Cake Toppers and Gina’s You Make Me Happy Stamp Set. I also used the new Barely There Amalgam Ink to paint the flowers. It looks like you could literally take a bite of that cake. If I didn’t hate cake I probably would 😁 Please don’t hate me for not liking cake. It is something that most of the population does not understand about me and I swear some have questioned my sanity over it.

Gina K. Designs November Release Day 2 + Giveaway

It is a gloomy, rainy fall day here in Wisconsin which makes it the perfect day to share some wintry Christmas cards.

Welcome to day two of the Blog Hop! Today the design team is featuring “A Very Merry Christmas”, a gorgeous hand lettered set by my sister, Emily Loggans.

And the beautifully drawn “Snow Birds” by Alicia.

Here are some cards I made with Emily’s set. I love that glittery ornament topper. Anything glittery catches my eye. I wanted to make the background and the base of the card in silver glitter paper, then I realized that may be a little much so I resorted to just the topper. But technically, there can NEVER be enough glitter am I right? Except my boyfriend doesn’t think so. The other night I told him he had a little speck of glitter on his face and he made like I told him a piranha was chewing his face off. I guess some guys don’t get the obsession.

I also made a simple Christmas Tag and used Perfect Pearls to accent the little berries. I may have been too presumptuous (let’s be honest, I was too impatient haha) and grabbed the tag too early and put it in my backpack. The little berries suffered a little smooshing, but they still look like berries so I’m happy!

I painted this little bird with watercolor. Look at how sweet his little face looks? Alicia did such a wonderful job at making these birds look lifelike.

I also made one card with the new incentive. I have others made though that I can’t wait to share with y’all!

Gina K. Designs November Release + Giveaway

The day is here, y’all! My new Christmas stamp set is finally available for purchase!

It is called Old Fashioned Christmas. You can either purchase just the stamp set singly or the stamp and die bundle. I love the big images you can color on this set. The possibilities are endless!

And this is Reasons to Celebrate, Gina’s absolutely adorable and versatile new stamp set to use with the Wreath Builder.

And here are some cards I made using my Old Fashioned Christmas set:

For the first card, I colored the truck with Copics. I didn’t want to take away from the plaid background, while making sure to give detail to the image, so I colored the truck in monochromatic grays. I then cut a Hero Arts word die out of some gold glitter paper for the greeting.

This next card I watercolored using my Prima Marketing Watercolor Pans. I used another Hero Arts word die for the greeting. You may wonder why I didn’t color in the centers of the Christmas Roses. Well, guys, I am wondering the same thing myself. It was 3 in the morning and I don’t take responsibility for anything I do at 3 in the morning haha.

These next two cards were made using Gina’s new wreath builder set. I love that I’m able to create cute cards for people with new pets!

Gina K Designs September Release Day Three + Giveaway

Well everyone… It is officially the last day of the September Release. It’s sad that it’s coming to an end, but don’t worry! Later this month we are having another one and I get to release a Christmas stamp set I designed!!

Today the designers are featuring the beautiful new StampTV Kit called Fruit of the Season.

It comes with two gorgeous stamp sets along with the coordinating dies. AND a beautiful collection of paper that will go fabulously with the projects you create with this new kit.

For my first card, I stamped the poinsettias with Red Velvet Ink, then sponged the leaves in Fresh Asparagus.

I cut them out and adhered them to a Kraft card base that I spruced up using the Elegant Script Background Stamp.

(By the way, I took a major chunk out of my day in attempting to translate what this background stamp’s script was saying, only to come to the conclusion that it is mainly gibberish. Just in case you were curious or wondering too.)

I stamped on a greeting, then splashed some gold Perfect Pearls on the top of the card to give extra sparkle.

I used the Elegant Script stamp again for this card. I created a background using that stamp, then stamping a bunch of other images from the set onto the piece of Cardstock. I did a lot of ink blending to give a more realistic effect. I took vellum and heat embossed a greeting from the kit in gold. I love how elegant this stamp set is paired with that script background stamp.

I basically just heat embossed all the snowflakes in white for this card, then took various watercolors to create a gorgeous blue background.

This is a free hand landscape design I created. I’m so in love with how it turned out. I used one of the greetings from the kit because it fit on this card perfectly!

Now I will be sharing a couple cards I made with the new incentive set.

I’m not even a coffee drinker, but this set is absolutely adorable! Everyone tries to make me drink coffee. But I look at all these obsessed coffee drinkers around me (my boyfriend used to drink 6 pots a day) that get migraines if they don’t feed their addiction. So I just sit back and take another sip of my tea and refuse the influence.

I made a background for this card using different colored Distress Inks to make it look like coffee spilled on the paper. I then colored the cups in with my Copics.

I used my Copics to color a background for this card. How cute is that greeting?? And you can get this set absolutely FREE with a purchase of $75 on the Gina K website!

Gina K Designs September Release Day Two + Giveaway

Welcome to Day Two of the Blog Hop! I had so much fun creating with these next two sets we are featuring today. I made quite a few cards, but I didn’t wake up in time to take pictures of them all. I was up late studying and I guess my alarm didn’t sound loud enough for my sleeping ears to hear haha. I’ll be sharing them very soon, however.

Rustic Autumn is the first set.

I was able to do so much with the barn image. I am a country girl through and through, and that barn is something I know I’ll be using quite often on my cards.

For my first card, I watercolored a scene using the barn (of course) and trees. I painted it to look like a sunset with stars speckled in the sky.

For this card I stamped the three different sized leaves all over a piece of scalloped border Cardstock. My intention was to color each of the leaves, but when I saw it in the monochromatic style I really liked it. So I decided to leave it as it was. I cut down a piece of vellum and heat embossed one of the greetings in gold.

This next beautiful set is called Something Good.

I did A LOT of fussy cutting for this first card. When I say a lot I really do mean it. It greatly tested my patience. I’ve gotta learn patience sometime, right?

This last card was extremely simple. I just heat embossed both of the images in gold and splashed some blue watercolor around it. It was so quick and easy to make.
