Gina K June Release Day TWO! And You Guessed it, Thereโ€™s a Giveaway ๐Ÿ˜

Yay!!! Today is Whimsical Wildflower Frame day! I can’t wait to show y’all everything I have been working on.

This stamp set was so much fun to create. There are so many versatile greetings in it too! There is one for your friend or significant other, weddings or anniversary’s, birthdays, encouragement, and thinking of you too!

This frame is soooo much fun to color.

I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color in the frame on this card. This probably took me around 3 hours to finish, but I think it was worth the massive hand cramp I experienced afterwards.

I love that you can even just stamp it on the front of an A2 size card front and your card is finished!

I stamped the frame around the border of a Kraft piece of Cardstock for this card. You don’t even need to color it. The line art looks beautiful on its own ๐Ÿ˜

I did an emboss resist technique with Peach Bellini Ink on this one. It looks so elegant, and perfect for a wedding card. Just switch up the ink color to match the bride and groom’s wedding colors!

(Side note… my wedding day is officially 58 DAYS AWAY… and I’m officially freaking out ๐Ÿ˜ When I cry at my wedding, it will because I’m overjoyed that the planning is finally over ๐Ÿ˜‚)

I also have some projects to share with the new Ocean Minded Mini Kit. I love the ocean. Well, not that I’ve ever been to an actual ocean. I live in Wisconsin. Which means we have Lake Michigan. Which means we have basically a massive drainage pond where people toss garbage and crap (literally) into its very non-clear, murky waters. But in Wisconsin we do have some gorgeous lakes and landmarks outside of the Milwaukee area. I’m a country girl, so any kind of lake and mud with a truck or four-wheeler is up my alley ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿค

And yes. I found out yesterday that I stamped the water backwards. But I am ok with it because it is art and if art was perfect it wouldn’t be art. (That is just a lame, poetic excuse lol. I just didn’t pay attention during the tutorial apparently haha.)

And of course I had to use the Lifechanging Brushes for this inky blend yet again because they are indeed the most amazing things that will literally change your crafty little life.

(The GKD Ink Pad colors are Wild Dandelion and Tangerine Twist)

I love this cute little beach scene ๐Ÿ˜ I must admit though, this is probably the fourth edition I made of this same exact card. Every other card the blend wasn’t right, or the ink smeared, or I was just being an obsessively compulsive crafty maniac. I decided to stop at four and accept this card as the winner to not feed my fanatical perfectionism any further.

Well, I hope you all enjoyed the Hop today! Thanks for following along, and for your wonderful comments and faithful support.

My wedding bills thank you for purchasing “Whimsical Wildflower Frame”.

Love you all!!!

Hugs,

Han

Gina K June Release Day One! Plus a Giveaway!!

Hello lovelies!! โค๏ธโค๏ธ

Today I am going to be sharing with y’all some projects I made with the new Gina K June release. It’s been a while since I’ve released a set and I am thrilled to finally be able to show it to you and all the samples I made ๐Ÿ˜ But you gotta wait till tomorrow for that ๐Ÿ˜

Today the design team is bringing you gorgeous samples from two of the new sets, “Timeless Beauty” and “Have Faith”.

“Have Faith” was designed by my lovely sister Emily (I call her Emz so if I refer to that name throughout my blog, now ya know who I’m talkin about ๐Ÿคช).

This set is so perfect for encouragement cards. I just love her hand lettering style! It’s the most beautiful I’ve ever seen, and trust me, I’m not bias ๐Ÿ˜‰

I used the Lifechanging Brushes on this blend, as well as various Distress Oxide Inks. I’m sorry, but I don’t remember which ones I used. I truly think I just reached my hand in my Ink Drawer and pulled out whatever color I liked at the time ๐Ÿ˜‚ It’s like Crafting Roulette ๐Ÿคช

I colored this next card using Prismacolor pencils on Kraft Gina K Cardstock. That is the third white colored pencil I have bought in the last few months. I use it the most out of any pencil in my collection because I just love the highlight it adds.

This card features one of my previous sets, “Whimsical Wildflowers”. My newest one, “Whimsical Wildflower Frame”, coordinates so well with it. I used my Mission Gold Watercolor Paints and Whisper Amalgam Ink to no-line color the dogwood flowers. I just love how those elegant flowers turned out ๐Ÿ˜

The next set, “Timeless Beauty”, is definitely a favorite from this release.

I can relate to it because I have an extremely old soul. I swear I am an 80 year old lady trapped in the body of a 20 year old. My version of a “lit” Saturday night is snuggling in bed with jammies on and Netflix. If I’m feelin a little crazy, I’ll even pop open a pint of ice cream. The only thing getting “lit” this weekend y’all, is my sugar cookie scented candles.

Saturday nights I’m off to Club Bed featuring DJ Pillow and MC Popcorn. Whenever I see people lined up outside a club on weekend nights, I just think… “Wow. Look at all those poor people who have no idea that Netflix and baggy sweatpants exist.”

Wow that was a random rabbit trail.

This card was so much fun to paint. Watercolor is so loose and free, and it always creates the most unique results.

This has to be one of my most favorite cards I’ve made โค๏ธ

And that is all for today my lovely friends! Don’t forget to tune in tomorrow to see all the things I made with the Mini Kit, and my newest stamp set, “Whimsical Wildflower Frame”.

Until then ๐Ÿ˜˜

Hugs,

Han

Up next on the Hop is Karen! โค๏ธ

Trifecta Blog Hop! Comment to Win $50 Giveaway!

The Picket Fence Life Changing Brushes have officially changed my life, y’all.

I cannot tell you how many times Iโ€™ve rubbed those smooth little bristles on my face. They are soooo soft. And the seamless blend they create is so magical ๐Ÿ˜ To clean them, I just use a mild Johnsonโ€™s baby soap with water, and then I leave them out to dry.

I love this smooth, rainbowy blend.

The Distress Oxide colors I used are:

โ€ข Abandoned Coral

โ€ข Ripe Persimmon

โ€ข Squeezed Lemonade

โ€ข Lucky Clover

โ€ข Mermaid Lagoon

โ€ข Wilted Violet

The colors I used for this blend are: Tattered Rose, Abandoned Coral, and Seedless Preserves.

The Cut-Align from My Sweet Petunia is another amazing tool recently created.

I use sentiment strips super often, so this tool is perfect if you do too!

And of course, we all know that the Misti is literally the greatest thing ever invented after popcorn.

Alcohol Inks are something I just recently discovered and I can’t get enough of them! I also attempted using Metallic Mixatives. Disclaimer: don’t use Metallic Mixatives if you have slippery fingers. Because I dropped the bottle on my black leggings and it spilled all over my left thigh. After three washes and vigorous scrubbing, those leggings will never be the same again.

I used Gina K Ink Pads (Ocean Mist and Christmas Pine) for this blend, and her cute mini Hugs stamp set.

I used Gina K’s Floral Stencil to watercolor this pretty card ๐Ÿ’•

So that’s all the inspiration for today lovelies! Comment below to be in the running to win a $50 Gift Card.

Until next week! I have a new stamp set being released and I’m SUPER excited to share it and all my projects with you ๐Ÿ˜

Hugs,

Han

Day Two of the Gina K April Release + Giveaway

Today, the design team is sharing projects made with the beautiful Hugs and Wildflowers Stamp Set, and the lovely Elegant Asters Kit. It seems like a hot minute since we’ve had a Gina K kit and I’m a very impatient woman. So today is a happy day ๐Ÿ˜

The flowers in the stamp set look to me like daisies which is my favorite flower ๐Ÿ˜

I took that picture at a local greenhouse last summer. I can’t wait until the flowers start to bloom again.

Color is another one of my favorite things, so I combined them both to create this card.

More unicorn sneeze repercussions ๐Ÿ˜›

“I’m here for you”. A phrase, if accompanied by action, is one of the most comforting things to hear.

I’m in love with all things related to my favorite country: China. And this card reminds me so much of cherry blossom tree from China or Japan.

And that is it for the inspiration today, folks! I’ll see you all with more cards the next release! I already turned in my next stamp set, so stay tuned in the next month or so for some more Han awesomeness coming to Gina K Designs ๐Ÿ˜ #humility

Thank you for following along these last couple days!

Gina K April Blog Hop Day One + Giveaway

Iโ€™m engaged!!!!! Yes. I know that has nothing to do with this blog hop, but I thought yโ€™all should know that in only a few months, I will be Mrs. Hannah Drapinski ๐Ÿ˜ And I couldnโ€™t be happier.

Marriage seems simple enough. It is a relationship where one person is always right, and the other person is the husband. Am I right ladies? ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜

Ok, back to business. Donโ€™t wanna stir up trouble or anything ๐Ÿ˜

I made another rattle for crafty adults yโ€™all ๐Ÿ˜ And itโ€™s even more sequiny and sparkly than the last one ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿฝ I just love all the confetti colors that bring out Ginaโ€™s juicy, vibrant inks.

And yes, I am aware this photo looks like it was sneezed on by a unicorn. And that is bad… why? ๐Ÿฆ„

This was a very easy card I made using the Lawn Fawn Heart die, the heart word die from Gina K, and various flowers from Ginaโ€™s Wreath Builder sets.

All of my cards in this Hop are so vibrant and summery. Probably because Iโ€™m internally screaming and begging for warm weather. Whenever I get a sliver of hope for warmness, it is dashed because of that four letter โ€œSโ€ word… SNOW.

And a lovely no-line watercoloring card with the newest incentive set and the Warm Glow Amalgam Ink. Why? Just because ๐Ÿ˜ (See what I did there) #dadjoke

If you didnโ€™t know this about me, Iโ€™m a little bit dog (and all animal) OBSESSED. And when I first saw this stamp set coming fresh out of the box, my brain โ€˜bout exploded with exasperation and excitement. Just LOOK at how CUTTTEEEE!!!!!

I couldnโ€™t help but watercolor this adorable puppy with a darling bandana and party hat.

And I canโ€™t help but share some adorable photos of my fur babies ๐Ÿ˜

Adorable alert am I right ๐Ÿ˜

I watercolor custom dog illustrations and I sell them on my Etsy Shop. Here I painted our sweet Charlie โค๏ธ

Anyway…

Gina K Designs Last Day of February Release + Giveaway!

Good morning everyone!

The design team is back again with a bunch of beautiful projects to share today. And when I say I bunch, I mean everyone else made a bunch. I made two. I don’t blame myself, however. You may ask yourself why I don’t blame myself, seeing as I am in fact in charge of what my hands are able to accomplish, which I do not have an answer to. Other than the fact that my Mega Wreath Builder painting took longer than the Mississippi River to finish.

Life has been crazy I’m not going to lie. But I’ll be sharing more stuff soon so stay tuned.

Look at this, y’all ๐Ÿ˜ณ This is the Mega Wreath Builder. I had some MEGA fun with this bad boy (see what I did there ๐Ÿ˜ #dadjoke.)

Of course I had to watercolor something for today’s post. It just wouldn’t be characteristic of me if I didn’t ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ This took me an innumerable amount of time by the way.

Watercoloring, in my mind, is relaxing until about the last flower. Because you never know what could happen. Your painting looks perfect and it’s so close to being done. But, while your finishing up that last petal, you could be snacking on some chips and guac and accidentally miss your mouth and get green guacamole all over your nearly finished painting. (Trust me, guys, it’s been known to happen…) But thankfully, there were no snack related casualties regarding this piece.

I made this next card using my new Wonderful World stamp set, and Gina’s Watercolor Flowers.

I did some ink blendyness on the flowers too. I don’t think “blendyness” is the correct technical term… but I like to make my own rules… ๐Ÿ˜Ž

That’s some good old-fashioned blendyness right there ๐Ÿ˜

“You make my heart smile”… I love this quote. There are people in the world who can put a smile on your face, but that smile will eventually go away. It’s those that leave smiles in your heart… they are the people who light up your world, and are the ones you can’t live without. Hold on tight and don’t let them go โค๏ธ

Well that’s enough sappyness for today. Thank you all for joining me this morning. I have many more projects in the works to share, as well as being busy working on new designs for my next stamp set! If you have any ideas or stamps you’d like to see done, comment some suggestions below! Also comment below to be in the running for a $50 Gift Card to Gina’s online store. May the odds be ever in your favor ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ
