Day Two of the Gina K April Release + Giveaway

Today, the design team is sharing projects made with the beautiful Hugs and Wildflowers Stamp Set, and the lovely Elegant Asters Kit. It seems like a hot minute since we’ve had a Gina K kit and I’m a very impatient woman. So today is a happy day 😁

The flowers in the stamp set look to me like daisies which is my favorite flower 😍

I took that picture at a local greenhouse last summer. I can’t wait until the flowers start to bloom again.

Color is another one of my favorite things, so I combined them both to create this card.

More unicorn sneeze repercussions 😛

“I’m here for you”. A phrase, if accompanied by action, is one of the most comforting things to hear.

I’m in love with all things related to my favorite country: China. And this card reminds me so much of cherry blossom tree from China or Japan.

And that is it for the inspiration today, folks! I’ll see you all with more cards the next release! I already turned in my next stamp set, so stay tuned in the next month or so for some more Han awesomeness coming to Gina K Designs 😏 #humility

Thank you for following along these last couple days!

Gina K April Blog Hop Day One + Giveaway

I’m engaged!!!!! Yes. I know that has nothing to do with this blog hop, but I thought y’all should know that in only a few months, I will be Mrs. Hannah Drapinski 😍 And I couldn’t be happier.

Marriage seems simple enough. It is a relationship where one person is always right, and the other person is the husband. Am I right ladies? 🤷🏻‍♀️😁

Ok, back to business. Don’t wanna stir up trouble or anything 😏

I made another rattle for crafty adults y’all 😍 And it’s even more sequiny and sparkly than the last one 🙌🏽 I just love all the confetti colors that bring out Gina’s juicy, vibrant inks.

And yes, I am aware this photo looks like it was sneezed on by a unicorn. And that is bad… why? 🦄

This was a very easy card I made using the Lawn Fawn Heart die, the heart word die from Gina K, and various flowers from Gina’s Wreath Builder sets.

All of my cards in this Hop are so vibrant and summery. Probably because I’m internally screaming and begging for warm weather. Whenever I get a sliver of hope for warmness, it is dashed because of that four letter “S” word… SNOW.

And a lovely no-line watercoloring card with the newest incentive set and the Warm Glow Amalgam Ink. Why? Just because 😏 (See what I did there) #dadjoke

If you didn’t know this about me, I’m a little bit dog (and all animal) OBSESSED. And when I first saw this stamp set coming fresh out of the box, my brain ‘bout exploded with exasperation and excitement. Just LOOK at how CUTTTEEEE!!!!!

I couldn’t help but watercolor this adorable puppy with a darling bandana and party hat.

And I can’t help but share some adorable photos of my fur babies 😍

Adorable alert am I right 😍

I watercolor custom dog illustrations and I sell them on my Etsy Shop. Here I painted our sweet Charlie ❤️

Anyway…

Gina K Designs Last Day of February Release + Giveaway!

Good morning everyone!

The design team is back again with a bunch of beautiful projects to share today. And when I say I bunch, I mean everyone else made a bunch. I made two. I don’t blame myself, however. You may ask yourself why I don’t blame myself, seeing as I am in fact in charge of what my hands are able to accomplish, which I do not have an answer to. Other than the fact that my Mega Wreath Builder painting took longer than the Mississippi River to finish.

Life has been crazy I’m not going to lie. But I’ll be sharing more stuff soon so stay tuned.

Look at this, y’all 😳 This is the Mega Wreath Builder. I had some MEGA fun with this bad boy (see what I did there 😏 #dadjoke.)

Of course I had to watercolor something for today’s post. It just wouldn’t be characteristic of me if I didn’t 🤷🏻‍♀️ This took me an innumerable amount of time by the way.

Watercoloring, in my mind, is relaxing until about the last flower. Because you never know what could happen. Your painting looks perfect and it’s so close to being done. But, while your finishing up that last petal, you could be snacking on some chips and guac and accidentally miss your mouth and get green guacamole all over your nearly finished painting. (Trust me, guys, it’s been known to happen…) But thankfully, there were no snack related casualties regarding this piece.

I made this next card using my new Wonderful World stamp set, and Gina’s Watercolor Flowers.

I did some ink blendyness on the flowers too. I don’t think “blendyness” is the correct technical term… but I like to make my own rules… 😎

That’s some good old-fashioned blendyness right there 😁

“You make my heart smile”… I love this quote. There are people in the world who can put a smile on your face, but that smile will eventually go away. It’s those that leave smiles in your heart… they are the people who light up your world, and are the ones you can’t live without. Hold on tight and don’t let them go ❤️

Well that’s enough sappyness for today. Thank you all for joining me this morning. I have many more projects in the works to share, as well as being busy working on new designs for my next stamp set! If you have any ideas or stamps you’d like to see done, comment some suggestions below! Also comment below to be in the running for a $50 Gift Card to Gina’s online store. May the odds be ever in your favor 🙏🏽

Gina K Blog Hop Day 2!

Welcome everyone! I’m back again this morning and ready to share some exciting new things.

And here they are! My two newest stamp sets I designed for Gina K Designs, To the Moon and Back and Wonderful World.

If you are insanely against fussy cutting (which I am because let’s be honest… ain’t nobody got time for that…), there are dies to go with this set! Not only does it save you time from hand cutting everything, but it saves your sanity and everyone else’s around you. 😁

These stamps sets were inspired by my boyfriend, Jesse. Quite a few months ago, back when I started thinking about the designs for these stamps, Jesse and I were long distance. He was living in South Carolina and I live in, of course, Wisconsin… pretty much on opposite ends of the country. But we made it work no matter how hard it was being apart. Finally, a door opened that allowed him to move here to Wisconsin and get hired for a great job. Now I can see him all the time! (Except that he’s snow plower and snow plowers are pretty much on the clock 24/7 in this part of the country.) One of the greetings in my To the Moon and Back set, “We may be miles apart but you’re always close to my heart”, is perfect for those who, like we were, are in a long distance relationship, but it could also be used for family members in other states or countries, best friends who live far away, or that neighbor across the street that moved out years ago but you’re still missing that taco dip they would bring to backyard barbecues. I don’t know about y’all, but tacos are ALWAYS close to my heart 🙌🏽

To freshen up my website, here is some eye candy of my darling man in case y’all wanna brighten up your day a bit 😏

*inserts ten million heart eye emojis*

Ok, back to the release… focus Hannah…

This first card, of course, features guess which technique………….

A WATERCOLOR GALAXY BACKGROUND, BABY!!!!

Just look at those colors… 🤤 Pure celestial heaven.

And of course, I had to make a shaker card with this set. I swear, shaker cards are like rattles for crafty adults.

For this next card, I made a crescent moon simply by using the circle die cut from my moon set. When the circle was all cut out, I offset the die and placed it more than halfway on the circle. I then ran it through my cutting machine and it turned into a crescent moon! Crafty hacks 😁 I sponged some Moonlit Fog ink on the side to give it some dimension and detail.

Here are some super fun moon ink combos:

Soft Stone + Stormy Sky

Innocent Pink + Dusty Rose

Kraft + Sandy Beach

Moonlit Fog + Slate

Sweet Corn + Honey Mustard

Red Velvet + Cherry Red

There are dozens more I came up with, but these were just some of my favorites.

I also made this really shiny, starry background by flicking slightly watered down Tombow Liquid Multi Glue on Black Onyx Cardstock. I waited a little bit for the glue to become “gummy” instead of wet, and then I laid a piece of silver foil on top and ripped it off! It left this sparkly, gorgeous shiny background that looks a lot like a starry night sky. It is also just really fun and oddly satisfying to rip off the piece of foil. I get cheap thrills, what can I say 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well folks, that’s it for today. Thank you for stopping by! I hope y’all have a fantastic weekend. Sending lots of love and hugs! ❤️🤟🏽

Han

Gina K. Designs February Blog Hop Day One and a Giveaway!

Hi y’all! I know it’s been a minute since I’ve posted (actually like a couple million minutes 😬), but I’m back and will be posting much more often! (Yes, I know I say that on a very frequent basis, but I’m sure I will this time… probably…) 😁

This January I had the pleasure of traveling to Phoenix, Arizona with my sister Emily for the 2019 Creativation show.

I’m tellin’ all y’all Arizona natives right now… you have two types of weather. Hot and a little less hot. Y’all know what winter means it Arizona?! NOTHING!! It’s still like 90 degrees out there. I woke up this morning to a winter storm snow and ice warning here in Wisco. The weatherman’s forecast was “Holy crap you can’t feel your face degrees outside today.”

But enough about that… let’s get into the fun stuff 😏

This past Gina K. Release was HUGE!!! And I’ve gotta say, guys, you need EVERYTHING. Today I’m going to be sharing a couple projects I made with two new stamp sets, Crafty Notes and Cake Toppers.

Tomorrow’s Blog Hop will be featuring my newest sets I designed for Gina, so make sure to come back tomorrow same time, same place! I can see my blog views, so I’ll know who doesn’t show up 😑

I made this card with the new Crafty Notes set. The perfect card to send to your special artsy someone to brighten up their day ❤️

Y’all know me… I couldn’t resist adding some sort of watercolor galaxy background to this blog post. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just love the pop of color against the monochromatic images.

Disclaimer- Don’t zoom in too closely at this card. I used paper towels to clean them because I misplaced my Tidy Towel (I have about 10 of them by the way and couldn’t find a one 🙄) and the little fuzzies from the toweling stuck to the stamps. Crafty Hack… DON’T DO THAT… BUY A TIDY TOWEL… IF YOU HAVE 10 ALREADY BUY ANOTHER 10… THIS POST ISN’T SPONSORED…….

For this next card, I used Emily’s Cake Toppers and Gina’s You Make Me Happy Stamp Set. I also used the new Barely There Amalgam Ink to paint the flowers. It looks like you could literally take a bite of that cake. If I didn’t hate cake I probably would 😁 Please don’t hate me for not liking cake. It is something that most of the population does not understand about me and I swear some have questioned my sanity over it.

Don’t forget to comment below to be in the running for a $50 Gift Certificate for Gina K Designs!

Shameless plug… keep up with me and my art on my Instagram @hanlynart!

Gina K. Designs November Release Day 2 + Giveaway

It is a gloomy, rainy fall day here in Wisconsin which makes it the perfect day to share some wintry Christmas cards.

Welcome to day two of the Blog Hop! Today the design team is featuring “A Very Merry Christmas”, a gorgeous hand lettered set by my sister, Emily Loggans.

And the beautifully drawn “Snow Birds” by Alicia.

Here are some cards I made with Emily’s set. I love that glittery ornament topper. Anything glittery catches my eye. I wanted to make the background and the base of the card in silver glitter paper, then I realized that may be a little much so I resorted to just the topper. But technically, there can NEVER be enough glitter am I right? Except my boyfriend doesn’t think so. The other night I told him he had a little speck of glitter on his face and he made like I told him a piranha was chewing his face off. I guess some guys don’t get the obsession.

I also made a simple Christmas Tag and used Perfect Pearls to accent the little berries. I may have been too presumptuous (let’s be honest, I was too impatient haha) and grabbed the tag too early and put it in my backpack. The little berries suffered a little smooshing, but they still look like berries so I’m happy!

I painted this little bird with watercolor. Look at how sweet his little face looks? Alicia did such a wonderful job at making these birds look lifelike.

I also made one card with the new incentive. I have others made though that I can’t wait to share with y’all!

Go take a look at the amazing projects done by other members of the Gina K. team! Don’t forget to comment on each blog so you are in the running to win a $50 gift certificate to Gina K Designs.

Thanks y’all for stopping by! ❤️🤟🏽
